1.1. Checking for updates

When updates are available for your computer, you may see a notification similar to this one:

When you receive these notifications, you can click on them to select a time to install updates, or if you do nothing, the updates will automatically install when the deadline is reached.  Usually, the deadline is 7 days after the update is released.


If you want to manually check for updates, in your start menu, search or find in the list an application named "Software Center".

Once Software Center opens, select the Updates section on the left menu.

Once you are on the Updates section, you can click the Install All button to install all pending updates immediately.
