2.2. Accessing Think Central

Think Central is tied into the PLCS Single Sign On system.  To access Think Central, utilize the following link:

This link is also available on K-6 iPads and in the Clever dashboard.

Staff Login Video Tutorial

Go to "Managed Bookmarks"

Click PLCS Clever link

Click Login with Office 365 (if prompted)

Scroll toward the bottom of the Clever Site

You can click on the ThinkCentral link (click the heart to move to the top of the screen)

It should log you in automatically

 

Student Login (using Clever Badges) Video Tutorial

Go to "Managed Bookmarks"

Click PLCS Clever link

Click Login with Badge

Click "Allow" for camera, if prompted

Scan QR code badge to log into Clever

You can click on the ThinkCentral link (click the heart to move to the top of the screen)

It should log you in automatically

 

Student Login with Office 365 Accounts Video Tutorial

Go to "Managed Bookmarks"

Click PLCS Clever link

Click Login with Office 365 Account

Enter district email

If prompted, enter username (student ID) and password (standard building password)

You can click on the ThinkCentral link (click the heart to move to the top of the screen)

It should log you in automatically

 

If you are using an iPad, start by clicking on the Clever app and follow the steps above. 

3.1. Accessing Curriculum Documents

The Curriculum Site is also linked to the district webpage under For Staff once you are logged in.  The following handout provides a more comprehensive set of instructions on how to access the Site if you don't have the direct link. 

 

Logging In

Navigate to District website www.plcschools.org.

Click the Staff Sign in button in the upper right-hand corner.

  

Enter your district username (firstname.lastname) and password which will be the same credentials you use to log on to your computer.

Once you are signed in, click on For Staff in the bottom left-hand corner. All staff documents will be located here.  You will see a variety of options for district staff including common forms, Human Resources, Curriculum, etc.

Select the Curriculum link from the list.

 

This will take you the Curriculum Site within Office 365.  (If you aren’t currently signed into Office 365, it may prompt you to sign in with your district email address)

 

Within the Curriculum Site, all curriculum guides and assessments can be found by clicking Curriculum Documents from the left navigation bar. 

 

These documents are in sections by PK-6 and 7-12, then Curriculum Links and Shared Resources for each content area.  (Curriculum Documents are official district documents created in Toolbox that will be the foundation for your instruction, while Shared Resources are optional resources that teachers created and shared over time.) 

OneNote Notebooks

These documents are linked to the current OneNote Notebooks in Office 365, which is the format that all curriculum documents will transition to in the near future.  The notebooks will first open in OneNote Online, but you can click “Open in OneNote” to view in the full desktop application. The preferred method is to view them online to get the most current information.

Once you open a notebook in the OneNote desktop application, it will remain in your list of open notebooks in the OneNote application.  When these notebooks are revised through Toolbox, they should sync in OneNote automatically each time you open the application and are connected to the internet.  Because Toolbox could potentially revise curriculum guides and assessments during the school year, it’s important to access the current district documents directly through the Curriculum Site or through OneNote, rather than saving copies to your computer.
